After years of on-site detailing, washing, shampooing, polishing and restoring all types of vehicles, on-location, in every kind of weather, we’ve fine-tuned our methods and approach- as well as our spartan philosophy: Bring only what we’ll need, nothing more- and use what works, i.e. UV Conditioners & Paint Sealants that offer the longest protection. And degreasers, polishes, stain removers & leather creams that do their job better than the rest.
Our hands-on knowledge and detailing methods are professional, precise, intensive and proven. We use the best products, do the most thorough work, always use spot-free water for perfect rinses every time, and we schedule only two (2) jobs per day, maximum, to ensure consistent, high quality results.

The DETAILSMITH, during more than thirteen (13) years in business, has filtered out all overrated products, dismissed useless and redundant supplies, and compiled a minimalists collection of the highest quality detailing supplies available. It took years of trial and error but we learned what products clean the best and which last the longest… and we use ‘em.
Some common detailing methods we NEVER use at The DETAILSMITH:
- Carnuba Waxes shine well but aren’t durable and begin to breakdown almost immediately… The DETAILSMITH uses a more durable alternative.
- Shiny Interior Dressings may look great but they’re oily, attract dust, contain petroleum distillates, eventually get absorbed, harden and cause cracking in leather, plastic and vinyl… The DETAILSMITH avoids this class of products completely.
- Shampooing interiors sure makes your carpets and upholstery look great – but the use of harsh, chemical-based cleaning solutions causes material fiber degradation and breakdown; shortening lifespan. Also, any previously applied stain resistant protection will be stripped… The DETAILSMITH practices a safer pocess.
- Harsh chemical degreasers and acids work well and make detailing easy but they can easily damage paint, leave stains on concrete, contaminate ground water, make pets ill, pollute, and are generally unpleasant to use… The DETAILSMITH knows a greener option exsists and uses it!
